WHAT IS THE GATHERING OF CHAMPIONS?
The Gathering of Champions
has been an annual event celebrating the accomplishments of
K-12 students selected by their schools to be Minnesota's Academic
All-Stars. The celebration event was initiated in 1990 by the
Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation (MAEF), and for many
years, it was held at the Minnesota State Fair. In 2001, funding
from the Minnesota Legislature for the event was eliminated,
and the 2002 event was canceled. In 2003, Camp Snoopy began
hosting the one-day celebration to honor Minnesota's Academic
All-Star students.
Schools will soon be contacted and given the opportunity to
designate and register their Academic All-Star students for
2005. Information also will be available on this website.

Thanks to Austin Johnson of Upsala, whose design was chosen
to serve as the 2005 Gathering of Champions logo!
